40 Cans for Lent

Beginning Ash Wednesday

The Knights of Columbus are conducting their annual Lenten Food Drive, 40 Cans for Lent starting on Ash Wednesday and continuing every day until Easter Sunday. The food drive will benefit 4 local food pantries: The Community Resource Center Food Rescue Program, the Cape Henlopen Food Basket, Jusst Soup Ministry, and Casa San Francisco/Catholic Charities. Please donate non-perishable food items such as soups, pasta, canned meats/tuna fish, canned vegetables, prepared dinners, bottled water and juice.

Knight volunteers will be present in front of the church one-half hour prior to all weekend Masses every weekend during Lent to collect your donations. You may also make donations on weekdays during Lent by leaving your donations in the container in the vestibule of the church. Finally, anyone who would like to make a monetary donation may do so by placing it in the donations box at the front of the church by the ambo or by giving it to the volunteers at the front of the church during the weekend Masses. Please make you checks payable to the Knights of Columbus. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
